Philodendron melanocrysum ( rare terrarium plant )

Philodendron Melanochrysum is a beautiful rare plant native to Colombia which belongs to the Araceae family. Philodendron Melanochrysum is a well known stunning plant in the philodendron collection. The dark green (almost black) crystalline leaves show off a bright yellow vein. The yellow vein traces its’ way through the leaf to form a unique pattern. The crystalline appearance on the leaves resembles specks of gold. In fact, “melanochrysum” means “black gold”.

This plant thrives in a large terrarium.
